Gone for a long time

Sorry for being gone for some time folks. Been really busy on my end finishing up some school-work and what-not. However, I look forward to updating this blog on a regular basis from now on for some time!

The purpose of this blog is to provide a quick resource for gastroenterologists to catch up on the important research related to their practice and for statisticians to receive critical feedback and advice on their investigative work. Feedback is welcome! Thank you!

Why a blog on medical research and statistics?

This is a good question. The essence of medical research is trying to find out how certain patient-centered variables relate to each other - be it a treatment, disease-state, etc. - and statistics is how these questions are all answered! In essence, medical research is statistics, and this is why it is important for medical researchers to conduct good study design in their investigative work.

About the Author

Chad, PhD (Translational Bioinformatics, University of Pittsburgh), combines his love and expertise of statistics, study design and medical research to produce for you “TheGastroenterologyBlog.” Chad hopes that this resource can be helpful for both Gastroenterologists and statisticians alike.
